Vein finders donated to local hospitals!

We have purchased four state-of-the-art vein finders that will be used to support patients receiving treatment.

The technology is used to locate veins by holding the device above the chosen body area; the veins underneath are clearly displayed on the surface of the patient’s skin.

This helps NHS staff find the most effective vein for treatment; saving time and improving patient comfort, especially for patients with difficult to access veins.

This is Tony’s Story

Hi, my name is Tony and I am recovering from Cancer!
I have recently been in hospital for a month having a stem cell transplant. During my
time in hospital I had many blood tests, and whilst talking to the nurses I said that it
would be great if you could see the veins under the skin, to make taking blood easier
and more precise. To my surprise, the nurse said there is a portable machine that
has a screen similar to a large mobile that does this!
