This is Tony’s Story
Hi, my name is Tony and I am recovering from Cancer!
I have recently been in hospital for a month having a stem cell transplant. During my
time in hospital I had many blood tests, and whilst talking to the nurses I said that it
would be great if you could see the veins under the skin, to make taking blood easier
and more precise. To my surprise, the nurse said there is a portable machine that
has a screen similar to a large mobile that does this!
Tony’s set himself the challenge to raise £3,000 to purchase the vein finder for use
on the haematology ward at Worcester Royal Hospital.
On Tony reaching his target, The Tracy Sollis Leukaemia Trust has pledged to
donate a further £3,000 for a second one!
