Youth Impact Worcestershire is a charity organisation raising awareness and fundraising for local charities and the community. Please come along to our event 24th October. Walk is free but donations are welcome and glowsticks are for sale.
There was a good turnout for the Trustโs Annual General Meeting held at Wallace House Community Centre on Monday 17th July.
Evesham Mayor Councillor Alan Booth and Mayoress Chrissy were both in attendance. The Mayor opened the evening with a warm welcome and added words of praise for The Trustโs achievements over the years.ย
Founder Member Sue Sollis BEM presented the yearly report which included information on the purchase of vein finders for local hospitals complete with an explanation of their benefits.
Guest Speakers for the occasion were The Trustโs Complementary therapist Carrie-Ann Adams and Kate Stallard. Both were former leukaemia patients who had overcome the disease by means of a successful transplant.
It was a special end to the evening when the former Mayor, Sue Amor, made a presentation of ยฃ1,512.00. A buffet was provided by the charity โWorking Worldโ to complete a highly successful evening with a chance to socialise afterwards.

The Trust became aware that many patients suffer discomfort or distress during treatment when there is a difficulty in finding a vein. This was brought to the Trustโs attention by a local patient.
Following research into the problem it was discovered that there is a piece of medical equipment called a vein finder which can help. The vein finder provides a laser computer image of the position of the veins.
The vein finder needs to be attached to a stand for regular hospital use and there are two types of these stands available. The one type is a fixed stand for placement in a haematology unit and the other one is a mobile stand which is ideal for wheeling up and down a ward.
The Trust has purchased several of these vein finders together with their appropriate stands for several hospitals.
